We are funded and operate solely on the good will of the general public, and animal community. It is because of this the we have to collect a surrender fee for animals turned over to our custody as well as charge an adoption fee for those being placed. Generally speaking the adoption fee will represent 10% of the pet store average costs in addition to any fees that we have accrued during their stay here at the rescue. It should be noted that certain fees will be obviously higher than others. (i.e.: a ferrets adoption or surrender fee will be far less than a large bird.) IN ADDITION, ALL SMALL ANIMALS, BIRDS, AND REPTILES WILL COME TO YOU SPAYED/NEUTERED (WHERE APPLICABLE) AND IN GOOD HEALTH, UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED IN WRITING BEFORE ADOPTION. ANY ANIMALS THAT HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS WILL BE MADE KNOWN WELL IN ADVANCE!!! ALL ANIMALS ADOPTED FROM THIS AGENCY WILL HAVE YOUR WRITTEN CONSENT THAT A MEMBER OF THE RESCUE’S EXECUTIVE STAFF MAY COME AND INSPECT THE LIVING CONDITIONS OF THE ANIMAL WITH REASONABLE NOTICE.
*ALL ADOPTION FEES, ASSESSMENTS, MILEAGE FEES, OR ANY OTHER COSTS ASSESSED ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND WILL BE CONSIDERED A DONATION TO THE RESCUE. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, AN ADOPTION FEE PAID AND THAN RETURNING THE ANIMAL, OR PAYING A SURRENDER FEE AND THAN RESCINDING YOUR DECISION TO DO SO. ONCE A FEE IS PAID, AND A CONTRACT IS SIGNED YOU FORFEIT YOUR RIGHT FOR A REFUND. THIS POLICY WILL BE MADE KNOW VERBALLY, AND WILL BE ON EVERY FORM YOU SIGN IN THE ADOPTION OR SURRENDER PROCESS.*

I agree to take the animal listed below and adopt it into my family as a permanent and loved member. The animal will NEVER be abused or in other ways hurt by anyone.
Furthermore I agree to take on the responsibility of maintaining this animal by purchasing or making foods that are designed for this specific breed.
I also understand that if for ANY reason I am unable to continue with the adoption I can return the animal within 72 hours without cost. After the 72 hour period I may be assessed a fee between $15 and $75.
A list of scheduled adoption fees are available upon your request.
Finally, by placing my signature on this adoption contract, I am promising to give this animal a loving forever home.
